Three decades, three generations, four women. Every year sisters Vivi (Svenja Jung) and Lara (Leonie Benesch) meet at the family house by the sea belonging to their grandmother Eva (Corinna Harfouch) and mother Sonja (Christiane Paul) for Christmas – which signifies something quite different for each of them. They eat, they drink, they argue – and sometimes reconcile. Certain dark secrets, that each has kept for a very long time, come to light and not everybody knows how to deal with all that honesty. Amidst baking cookies, decorating trees, singing Christmas carols and making Christmas dinner, old wounds are laid bare and unresolved questions are finally answered.
